WEB USERS ARE AN EXTREMELY IMPATIENT LOT - impersonal 404 errors will quickly lead to customers abandoning your site. That’s why it is important that, when errors do occur, your 404 and other default error pages don’t look like dead ends. Deploying customized error pages improves user experience and reduces abandonment rates by maintaining the look and feel of the rest of your site and offering alternate page destinations.

UNFORTUNATELY, SETTING UP CUSTOM ERROR PAGES IN IIS usually requires something many developers lack - access to the Web server`s administrative interface. But with Port80’s CustomError, developers can simply upload them to a designated directory - no MMC access or administrator intervention required. Deploying stylish, user friendly error pages becomes a normal part of site design and development.

CUSTOMERROR COMES PRE-LOADED WITH A LIBRARY OF ERROR PAGE TEMPLATES and accommodates multiple libraries for multiple sites or virtual servers. Implemented as a super-fast ISAPI filter, the tool is easy to install and uninstall, and has a minimal server footprint. CustomError is compatible with any popular scripting language, including ASP, ColdFusion, and Perl, and is designed to work seamlessly woth other Port80 products like URLSpellCheck and PageXchanger.

CUSTOMERROR IS AVAILABLE AS A FREE, FULLY FUNCTIONAL 30-DAY TRIAL, and as with all Port80 IIS tools, is very affordable and includes free technical support.
